Keep Dreaming…

One weekend. 5000 teen girls. Hours of worship. This priceless event, called the Revolve Tour, showed teen girls that there is a greater purpose in life — to serve a God who created us and loves us. Christian musicians and speakers ministered to the girls in 12 cities nationwide from January to April, covering the topics of faith, relationships, and everyday life.

“The Revolve Tour provides an opportunity for girls to look around a big arena filled with other girls and see that they’re not in this life alone,” said Amy Chandy, vice president of development at Thomas Nelson Live Events, which puts on the event. “We encourage girls to open up about everyday situations they face and create bigger conversations with each other. We want them to know they are loved by a big God who cares about them.”

The tour’s theme, Dream On, was to show girls that with God, anything is possible, following the Bible verse Luke 1:37. Featuring musicians like Hawk Nelson and Britt Nicole and speakers like Chad Eastham and Jenna Lucado Bishop, the tour easily attracted female Christian teens. “So You Think You Can Dance” participant Kathryn McCormick danced, but also spoke about how she had to trust God in order for her dreams to come true. Singer Jamie-Grace Harper posted her music on YouTube.com and was discovered by Gotee Records singer TobyMac, and explained that God made her dream go from very unlikely to reality. In the end, audience members left with the thought to keep dreaming, since nothing is too big for God.

The tour may be over, but Revolve’s mission remains the same: to spread the word of God. To do so, they update their Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as post devotionals on their website.
